April to November is the best time. The temple usually opens in late April/early May and closes around Diwali due to snowfall.

Starting from Haridwar or Rishikesh, the tour takes you through winding mountain roads to the peaceful hill station of Chopta, often called the Mini Switzerland of India. From there, trek to the sacred Tungnath Temple and, optionally, further to Chandrashila Peak for breathtaking panoramic views of the Himalayan range.

Day 01 :

Haridwar to Chopta

Early Morning: Pickup from Haridwar in the morning.

Drive: Scenic drive via Devprayag, Rudraprayag & Ukhimath (7–8 hrs)

Stay: Camp or Hotel in Chopta.

Day 02 :

Chopta to Tungnath Darshan & Return to Chopta

Trek: 3.5 km to Tungnath Temple (2.5–3.5 hrs)

Optional: 1.5 km further to Chandrashila Peak for 360° Himalayan views.

Sightseeing:

Tungnath Temple (world’s highest Shiva temple established by Pandavas)
