Discover the diverse landscapes and cultural charm of Meghalaya on this 5-day journey through Shillong, Cherrapunjee, Dawki and Mawlynnong. The tour begins in Guwahati with a scenic drive towards Shillong, stopping at the beautiful Umiam Lake before reaching your local Khasi accommodation. The journey then continues through the sacred forests of Mawphlang, where a guided walk introduces you to the traditions and stories associated with the Khasi community, followed by a visit to a Khasi Heritage Village. Continue towards Cherrapunjee, known for its dramatic landscapes, waterfalls and caves, with sightseeing including Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, Mawkdok Viewpoint, Wah Kaba Falls, Arwah Caves, Nohkalikai Falls and Mawsmai Caves or Arwah Caves, depending on available time. Day 3 brings the most adventurous experience as you trek from Tyrna to the famous Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat. The journey then moves towards Dawki and Mawlynnong, covering the Tamabil–Dawki border area, the crystal-clear Umngot River and an optional boating experience. In Mawlynnong, explore the village, its sky bridge and the nearby Riwai Living Root Bridge. The final morning offers time to explore the village lanes and historic church before returning to Guwahati. This itinerary combines nature, local culture, trekking, waterfalls, caves, rivers and Meghalaya’s remarkable living-root architecture.
