Overview
Embark on an immersive journey through the diverse landscapes, wildlife and cultural traditions of Northeast India, combining the wilderness of Manas and Kaziranga with the scenic beauty of Meghalaya and the distinctive cultural heritage of Majuli. Beginning in Guwahati, the journey moves towards Manas National Park, where Elephant and Jeep Safaris introduce you to the region’s rich natural surroundings, with an optional extension towards Royal Manas on the Bhutan side. From Manas, continue into Meghalaya and experience the serene landscapes around Umiam Lake, the transparent waters of the Umngot River, the remarkable village environment of Mawlynnong, and the living-root architecture of Riwai. The route then takes you through Cherrapunjee, covering waterfalls, viewpoints and caves before returning to Assam and entering the wildlife-rich landscapes of Kaziranga National Park. Here, Elephant and Jeep Safaris offer contrasting ways to experience the forest and observe its wildlife, while Kaziranga Orchid Park adds a cultural and botanical dimension. The journey concludes in Majuli, reached by ferry across the mighty Brahmaputra, where traditional mask-making, pottery, Xatras and Mising tribal villages reveal the island’s unique cultural identity before the final return towards Jorhat or Guwahati.
