Discover the cultural richness, historical heritage and natural beauty of Manipur on this immersive 7-night, 8-day journey through Imphal, Ukhrul and Loktak Lake. The tour begins in Imphal, where you explore the State Museum and experience the traditional Aarti Puja at Govindajee Temple, followed by a full-day city tour covering Kangla Fort, Women’s Market, Saheed Minar, RCKS Art Gallery, Mapal Kangjeibung and the World War II Cemeteries. Continue towards Moreh for an exciting border experience and a visit to Tamu in Myanmar, where Indian travellers can explore the bustling bazaar and Buddhist monastery, subject to border regulations. The journey then moves into the green hills of Ukhrul, home of the Tangkhul Nagas, with opportunities to explore the town, Shiroi Peak region and Phangrei. From Ukhrul, travel towards the magnificent Loktak Lake, stopping at Red Hill, the India Peace Memorial and the INA Memorial Complex. Enjoy the unique landscape of Manipur’s largest freshwater lake from Sendra and experience its floating fishing settlements and evening lights. The final full day takes you to Keibul Lamjao National Park, the world’s only floating national park, where you may see the Sangai, Manipur’s brow-antlered deer. The itinerary concludes with a transfer from Loktak to Imphal Airport.
