These shrines are dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, Goddess Ganga, Lord Shiva, and Lord Vishnu respectively. The yatra usually begins from Yamunotri and follows the route to Gangotri, then Kedarnath, and ends at Badrinath. It is considered highly auspicious in Hinduism, believed to cleanse sins and help attain spiritual salvation. Set amidst breathtaking natural beauty, the Char Dham Yatra attracts thousands of devotees every year, typically during the summer months.

Day 1 :

Haridwar to Barkot

Morning pick-up from Haridwar Railway station/ Bus stand/ or any nearby location.

Take a holy snan in the Ganges at Har ki Pauri.

Drive to Barkot via Mussoorie (approx. 210–230 km, 7 to 8 hours).

Enjoy scenic mountain views along the Yamuna River valley.

Reach Barkot, a peaceful town at the foothills of Yamunotri.

Check-in at hotel and rest.

Overnight stay and Enjoy Dinner at hotel in Barkot.

Day 2 :

Barkot to Yamunotri and Return to Barkot

After Breakfast , Drive to the Yamunotri base (Janki Chatti, approx. 40 km from Barkot).

Trek or hire a pony/palanquin for the 6 km uphill journey to Yamunotri Temple.

Visit the Yamunotri Temple, take a holy dip in the hot springs nearby.

Explore the surrounding scenic areas and local markets.

Trek back to Janki Chatti by afternoon.

Drive back to Barkot.

Overnight stay and Enjoy dinner at hotel in Barkot.

Day 3 :

Barkot to Uttarkashi

After breakfast, drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi (approx. 85 km, 3 to 4 hours).

En route, enjoy beautiful views of the Yamuna River and Himalayan landscape.

Arrive in Uttarkashi, the gateway to Gangotri.

En-route Visit the Vishwanath Temple and Shiv Shakti Temple.

Overnight stay and Enjoy Dinner at hotel in Uttarkashi.

Day 4 :

Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back to Uttarkashi

Enjoy the breakfast in the hotel at Uttarkashi.

Early morning drive from Uttarkashi to Gangotri (approx. 100 km, 4 to 5 hours).

En route explore Gangnani hot spring take a bath.

Visit the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga, and take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River.

Return drive to Uttarkashi by evening.

Day 5 :

Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

After breakfast, start early from Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (approx. 160 km, 6 to 7 hours).

Arrive at Guptkashi, a peaceful town known as a gateway to Kedarnath.

Day 6 :

Guptkashi to Kedarnath

Early morning drive from Guptkashi to Sonprayag (approx. 25 km, 1 to 1.5 hours)

Take a shuttle from Sonprayag to Gaurikund.

Begin the trek to Kedarnath Temple (about 22kms uphill trek).

Arrive at Kedarnath Temple, perform darshan and offer prayers.

Overnight stay in Tents/Hotel in Kedarnath.

Day 7 :

Kedarnath to Guptkashi

Start your day with early morning darshan at the sacred Kedarnath Temple, amidst the divine aura of the snow-clad peaks.

After darshan, explore important sites near the temple such as: Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, just behind the temple & Bhairavnath Temple, offering a panoramic view of the valley.

Spend a few moments soaking in the spiritual energy and breathtaking surroundings.

Begin the 16 km downhill trek to Gaurikund.

From Gaurikund, take a local jeep to Sonprayag, then proceed by vehicle to Guptkashi.

Dinner and overnight stay in Guptkashi

Day 8 :

Guptkashi to Joshimath

After breakfast, depart from Guptkashi towards Joshimath,a gateway to Badrinath nestled in the Himalayas.

Enjoy a scenic drive through mountain roads, river valleys, and confluence points like Karnaprayag and Nandprayag.

Arrive in Joshimath by night ,a peaceful town known for its spiritual calm and snow-covered peaks.

Visit Narsingh Temple, the winter seat of Lord Badrinath (if time allows)

Dinner and overnight stay in Joshimath.

Day 9 :

Joshimath to Badrinath return to Joshimath

Begin the day with a beautiful drive from Joshimath to Badrinath, nestled between the Nar & Narayan peaks and blessed with divine serenity, On the way witness the divine Vishnuprayag.

Take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund, then proceed for darshan at the revered Badrinath Temple After offering prayers, visit Mana Village, the First Indian village near the Indo-Tibetan border.

Explore important sites like Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Saraswati River origin, Bhim Pul, and Narad Kund, Also see the Swargarohini Path, believed to be the route taken by the Pandavas to ascend to heaven.

Return to Joshimath by evening.

Dinner and overnight stay in Joshimath

Day 10 :

Joshimath to Haridwar

After breakfast, check out from Joshimath and begin the return journey towards Haridwar.

En route, enjoy scenic views of Rudraprayag Sangam , Dhari Devi Temple Devprayag Sangam, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge to form the Ganga.

A brief halt at Rishikesh to visit iconic spots like Ram Jhula & Laxman Jhula (if time allows).

Reach Haridwar by evening, marking the completion of your spiritually enriching Dham Yatra.
